It is not uncommon for some ships to dump garbage into the sea or clean dirty tanks when they are distant from shore. This could be one of my beginnings in photography, photographing astronomical phenomena such as lunar eclipses. It was an amazing experience to watch as the full Moon slowly disappeared behind the dark shadow of the Earth.
